An Advanced It & Telecommunications company is being set(Squigabit) up of which I will be a director. The major problem is that there is the possibilty of myself not owning any shares in the company or at the most owning only a small percentage of the shares. In this company I manage, run , write and have sole control over all the software engineering projects and workers.

What should I do?

a)Form my own company and perform contract work for Squigabit and keep copyright ownership of my software.
b)Try and argue for a major shareholding and then sign over the software to squigabit.

My aims are to become financially independante and I feel just getting paid a directors wage rather than dividends will not provide that.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated?
