I use to work for a major publishing company! Many times I was given products by managers all the time for free. There were not "ANY" stipulations when these gifts were given to me. There was not as to returning the gifts when I resigned. I quit and started a new job. I took one of my software items and listed it on EBAY and it sold. My ex-boss, on a personal vendetta saw it and had there legal counsel ask for the money that I made off of EBAY or legal remedies could follow. Does not the law state that once a gift is given that it is yours to keep. I remind you that there was never a policy stating my gifts when they were given too me. Are there not laws that protect me. The software was given to me to me by them. I live in TN. If anyone knows TN laws regarding gifts please let me know. This is an item that has a retail of only $400

My response:

Was a letter written to you ?

If so, I want you to quote the letter exactly in a response on this thread. We'll take a look at it and see what, if anything, we can do for you.
