What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? KS

This may be kind of vague, but I am speaking "generally". I do not know if further info will be needed, if so, I will be happy to provide it. However, I am referring to a few different situations.
Question:
Is there a SOL once a judgement has been filed, or does it only apply as long as there is no judgement? Thanks

Yes, there is an SOL on judgments that have been rendered and it varies by state. In TX there really isn't one, a judgment can be renewed repeatedly with no limits. In many states the SOL is between 10 and 20 years, often with at least 1 renewal allowed. In a few states the SOL is as short as 5 years.

Once a lawsuit has been FILED the SOL is no longer relevent IF the SOL had not already expired when the suit was filed. If a lawsuit is filed even 1 day before the SOL runs out, they beat the SOL.

Domestic Judgment: 5 renewable
Foreign Judgment: 5 renewable
It doesn't say how many times it can be renewed or a max time, you'll have to dig thru the KS statutes, just search Google for 'kansas stautes"
