Hi, any help you guys could give me would be great, I live in Toronto ont, Canada, you may not know the laws up here but if so you could share your experience with US laws,

I Sold a car to a person who lives out west, basic sale, he asked me a few questions if the underside had any rust on it when i sold it, i told him i had it on a hoist and i didn't see any, (this is true, i didn't), anyways i shipped the car out to him, he received the car and 8 days after receiving it, about 25 days after the money transaction took place he sends me an e-mail saying to either refund the whole money for the car (4900) or send him 2000 to help fix the car because there was rust in the wheel wells, and a list of other things that needed to be fixed or the next letter I would receive would be from his lawyer on a "very expensive piece of paper", wasn't it his responsability to have the car checked out by a mechanic before purchasing the car, (have me send it out to be checked out). In the add for the car over a fourm, i didn't say the car was beeing sold "certified" nor did i say as-is, There is no contract signed by either parties saying that the car is in perfect condition and he will have no repair bills to fix the car to be road worthy.

What should i do about the situation??
any help please.

Thanks
