What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

I just recently sold a computer and the young lady hacked into all my accounts and my email accounts and emailed everyone I know, including a detective, a bad, and ugly email about me.

She sent crazy lies around to over 100 people I know.

So I believe there is room for Invasion of privacy, hacking, slander, theft,

what else can I file against her?

I will be going to the courts this week and the sheriffs dept just left so I do have a report number on this situation.

its ugly. she posted my 12 yo daughter name in all the emails to people, as well.

and slandered her name.... is that part of porn of a minor child? with incluing the name of a minor in on the net when you had no permission to do so?..

any advise will be greatly appreciated

More- cont.

I know there is libel / slander also.

is hacking a felony?

she also damaged my company as she sent these emails to customers of mine and they are scared now thinking their info is compromised and have cancelled their orders now. since she selected everyones email addy out of my email box, and hit send.....

so there are monetary damages now, as I have proof with their emails of cancelling their orders

I won't provide a legal answer, as I honestly don't know, but I will ask this: were you actually ignorant enough to pass over a computer that contained saved passwords without wiping the drives? Really?

cont.

I had a friend that knew computers come and download everything onto an external hard drive, so I thought since he knew computers and took care of that.

one of the people she emailed was on my email list is a detective on a case for me...

hopefully I will find out today when I talk to an attorney
