My father-in-law sold his house at auction in State of Missouri. Thirty days have passed, and he still has not received payment from the sale. The auctioneer does not answer his phone. My father-in-law has even gone to the auctioneer's house and he doesn't answer the door. What should my father-in-law do?

What type of auction was this? Through the bank? For taxes? Or did you Dad place the auction sale?
