I am an Illinois homeowner (Cook County) who sold her home in panic due to a pending for-
closure. I rec'd. 3 offers within the first
hour of listing the home; A CASH FULL-PRICE OFFER (I accepted) and the other two were for MORE THAN FULL PRICE...(no one even SAW the inside of the house!). Well, now I am able to come up with the mortgage arrerage prior to the sherrif's sale (May 30) but the closing on the full-price offer is May 15-Am I obligated to sell because it was a full price offer? After I signed the contract they added a 7-item rider, which I won't agree to(& never signed it). 1.)Must I sell? 2.)If I pay the back mortgage in full a week or 2 before the Sherrif's sale will my mortgage be re-instated? Heeeeeeellllp!
