What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Business was in Kansas

I sold by small business (retail&services) solely owned by myself several years ago. How long do I have to keep all the paperwork? There are MANY boxes I've kept just in case. Also, what documents are necessary to keep?

**A: 7-10 years and ask your CPA and attorney.
