What is the name of your state?Wisconsin

A young 20 something young lady signed up for a cell phone about 5 years ago for my than 16 year old son. Once I found out I tried to cancel the phone but was unable to with out her. I did not know this person so I just took the phone away after paying the bill that came to our house in her name.

She now says there is a $235.00 bill and wants it paid I said I have no liability to that bill as far as I am concerned.

Can she sue myself or my son nothing was in his name and he never signed anything he was only 16. If I thought he should have had a phone I would have goten him one myslf. What can she do?

Your son at the age of 16 cannot legally sign a contract and be held liable, stick to your guns.

Thanks

She has been calling my house and being very disrespectful. I do not beleive my son should have to pay this what was this woman thinking. She says she can take us to small claims court but for what because she had the bill come to my house. I paid what I saw and that is when I asked to have it canceled.

I even told them no one by that name lived at my address.

I am a wreck thinking she may harm my animals or my house or car!

Kindly ask her to call no more and if she still does tell her youll file harrassment charges. Might work.Theres rules against that but others here know more about that.
