My 19yr old son is dating a 14yr old girl with her parents permission. They recently broke up and she claimed to be pregnant to get him back. Thankfully she is not pregnant but my son is dating her again. We tried to talk with her mother about this but she is clueless. Her parents refuse to stop them from dating. What can we do to stop this before he ends up in jail? Do we have any legal options that will not get him in trouble?

What can you do? It's hard enough making minor children listen to you, damn near impossible to make children of age listen. Warn him of the legal consequences. other than that, maybe introduce him or have his friends introduce him to hotter girls his own age. But if the 14 year old is putting out for him, I don't see this ending well. Good luck.

You need to tell your adult child to STAY AWAY FROM THE REAL CHILD.

Why is it you expect another parent to, well, parent your own child?

why is it you want the child's mother to suddenly care, then your son will be off to jail.

don't leave it up to someone else take control of the situation, because the girl can also ask for charges to be pressed, then that bell cant be un rung, and off to jail again!!

your son needs to get out of this like right now, in a way that doesn't get him locked up. good luck with that.

Find the criminal codes for your State regarding statutory rape and the potential sanctions. They should be easy to find on-line. Your son could end up doing jail time AND have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life AND pay child support for 18 years. The criminal justice system won't care one iota that the sex was consensual.

In other words, put the fear of God into him. He has absolutely no business dating a child, much less having sex with her. Your son's judgment is seriously impaired.

You need to have a Come To Jesus talk with your son and let him know the world of hurt he may find himself in. And if he doesn't listen? Then make him pay for his own darned lawyer when she turns up pregnant.

well, depending on the exact age diff, you he may be dealing with a 1st degree misdemeanor or a 4th degree felony.

In either case, he may find himself to be the abused girlfriend to some sex pervert when he gets to prison.

So, what you should do is call the police and tell them your son is molesting a child. He will get to go to trial and quite likely to jail or prison. Then when he gets out, he gets to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

then call the police and report the parents of the girl for allowing your son to knowingly molest their daughter.

Hopefully the girl will end up some place where she won't be molested by an adult or where her guardians will not allow it either.
