What is the name of your state?MS.

My wife recently died without a will. We have a son, 35 years old and married, that is attempting to "cash in" on his mothers death. He assumes he has a right to half of everthing me and my wife accumulated over our 36 year marriage, including cars, bank accounts, etc.

Knowing him as I do his actions are not a surprise. Does he have a legal claim to any part of my late wife's and my assets?
