Son has recently gotten off juvenile probation.4 days later he is arrested for recieving/concealing stolen property 2nd degree; and criminal trespassing. His bonds were 10k and 2k.He has just turned 18 and never been arrested.the stolen property was just over $300 which was recovered immediately.Another 18 yr. old and a 15 yr. old involved also.Son admmited and told exact truth to law enforcement. He is also a senior this coming school year. Questions; What should we expect at the prelim. hearing in 2 weeks;will the court appoint a lawyer and is it advisable;what are chances of getting it reduced to lesser charge and no jail time;and can a lot of the court dates be avoided if he has admiited to crime.

Hire a criminal defense attorney immediately.

This is not legal advice and you are not my client. Double check everything with your own attorney and your state's laws.
