Okay, here's the scoop. I live in Fenton, MI. I was living with my fiance' in a house that his brother purchased, and he was making payments to his brother. I took out a student loan in which was supposed to go to pay off some debt, but had decided to put it towards the house we were living in because it was pretty much disgusting! I paid a $745 water bill (to get the water turned back on), and a $200 bill to get the heat and electric on. I also paid forth around $2000 towards items for the house (drywall, tile, flooring, etc.) at the Home Depot.
Well, after about a week of staying at the house, my fiance's mother kept calling and "texting" him on his phone, saying she didn't want us together anymore and that if I left the house she would give me all of the money back that I put into it. (I have no idea why she didn't want us together, she has always liked me before.) So, my fiance and I decided we would take her up on her offer, but we would get an apartment of our own and get furniture with the money she was going to pay me back.
Now she is refusing to pay me, and there is numerous of items at the house that I purchased that she was supposed to pay me back for. I gave her the receipts (made copies for myself) like she asked, and now she is saying she isn't going to pay me back. What do I do?

This has nothing to do with libel slander or defamation. What it sounds like is fraud -- you defrauding her.
