I received a speeding ticket in Virginia for doing 60 in a 45 mph zone. I never admitted to speeding to the officer and right be before he asked me to sign the citation. I asked the officer if I could see the radar to see the speed locked in to the display. He told me that he could not let me see it. I'm I allowed to see it and if so can I get out of the ticket in court by bring this up and pleading not guilty.

Thank You

No. You were speeding and you are guilty.
Do you know VA law? I was asking because I had found in VA state code 46.2-882 The very last paragraph states.

Law-enforcement officers using motor vehicle-based microcomputer devices or laser speed determination devices as provided for in this section shall, on request of any affected motorist, permit such motorist to observe the reading on the device. Nothing in this section, however, shall require any law-enforcement officer to allow affected motorists to observe any reading on any microcomputer device on any airplane or helicopter.
