Hello, we are having trouble with a sports commitment contract and would like some advice. Our daughter tried out for a sports team, the director asked for the parents to put down a 300.00 commitment deposit that was refundable if we responded by a certain time frame. I did not sign any commitment form, and the coach cashed the check before teams were announced. My daughter was placed on a local team, even though we told him we wanted to be placed on a travel team days before the team announcement deadline. I asked him to please let me now if there was an opportunity to move her to a requested travel team, with no response to date. I am wondering if this sounds like a viable case in getting our deposit back, and what should that process look like? Let me know what additional information might be needed.
