I live in Salina, Kansas and have just been served with incompatibility divorce.Last year my taxable income was 49,500 and wifes was around 24,000. Although the majority of her income was for working for me as I own a small business. The business never shows a profit as we have taken fairly high salaries. I put my wife through college and have a 25000 student loan in my name. Wife is capable of working and earning 15000-18000 annually. We have a high debt load some seperate some joint. She is seeking me to pay all the seperate and joint bills plus monthly maintenance of 1420.00 a month. She moved out on me a couple of months ago as i wanted to try to reconcile the marraige but she does not.Have already divided most joint property fairly evenly. Do you think this maintenance amount is high and can you estimate how much i will pay? there are no kids involved and i suspect her of cheating on me. I am just looking for some advice, lawyer or non lawyer and will not hold anyone liable for their advice.
