the city has sent men to board up my house where i've been squatting. four plain-clothed policemen came yesterday (5/23/01) and told us we had until friday(5/25/01) to vacate or face arrest on charges of burglary(of what exactly, i don't know). the city records show edward and evelyn ebora as the owners, though when i spoke to them yesterday the claimed they don't own a house in philly and that a corporation owned it. the city records tell me that the back taxes and liens up until 1996, have been bought up by a collection agency, who i then spoke to and they also show the ebora's as the owners. so the owners, according to everyone's records don't care if we live there, and the police have given no written warnings, do they have the authority to kick us out if the owners don't care.
