What is the name of your state?WA
Hello I am needing some information on this SSCRA. I am having problems with on of my husband's creditors. Back on September 30th I mailed and faxed in my hubbys deployment orders to his creditors. All buth this one has adjusted the interest on his accounts. This one creditor is wanting the date of deployment, all I have is what is on the orders which is mid-September, they are official orders. I have told them when he deployed which was on the 19th of September. They are saying what I have sent is not good enough forthem and they want exact dates. Well I cant get that, and I have tried to tell them this. What I have is what I have. My husband is in a combat zone, I cant just call him up and ask him to send me proof of when he left. And I cant get anything for the rear-d here. I am at a lost. I have read that they have the burdon of proof. What more can I do, do they have to accept what I have sent?
Thank you

What I would do is go to the JAG office and have them put you in touch with either the DOJ or the Attorney General's office. I have a link to the JAG website which has an extensive review paper on the SSCRA. It is pretty heavy reading in some spots but should be helpful. I will post the link and applicable quotes just as soon as I find it.
