I have a simple question. My sister receives SSI disability payments and has Medical health coverage. She has suffered a heart attack and has received a triple bypass. She's currently hospitalized and homeless. As I attempt to help her find shelter, I need to know if a Payday loan company can garnish or in any way affect her SSI benefits? Assuming she defaults on this usurous and never-ending loan, can they access her monthly checks? Not a nice situation, but I've got to know!
