What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida
I'd like some opinions: Scenario: You and ex live 2 states apart, ex was verbally abusive to you in marriage, and came very close to being physically violent (throwing things across room, etc.) Ex works in law enforcement. You and ex have phone conversation during which ex says he/she has friends that live in town 12 miles from you, and then says that he/she will find out one way or the other if you have alot of money and are hiding it. You laugh, and jokingly say-oh I guess you think you're going to have me followed, well I have nothing to hide. Fast forward 8 1/2 months to the day before CS modification hearing, you recive note from ex in mail which reads:
Ex-by the way, that guestion that you asked me a few months ago on whether I know people who live in your state that can follow people, well just so I am being totally honest, I do know how to contact them.

If this happened to you, would you consider the note to be stalking threat?
I'd appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

Darn straight I would consider it a threat. More than likely he is just an idiot spouting off at the mouth. I mean, you would think that someone who works in law enforcement would have better sense than to put something like that is writing!!

Take it to the police, tell them about the original conversation and let them deal with it.

seems that more an more law officials are over stepping the lines of whats right and wrong these days. Just pisses me off that in most cases its even allowed. What is happening to our justice system? The sheriff im my county just got arrested last year for all sorts of conspiracy embezzelment fraud you name it he did it. He was allowed to still serve as sheriff (by title and pay only, he wasn't actually allowed to work)for months after the arrest. well he was on tax payers money and they just recently took that away after a year of waiting. There were a number of police judges and attorneys that were also named and arrested for the same stuff. SICK!! And these are the ppl we intrust our lives and safety to.
