Starting a local pro wrestling magazine. Where to register?

What is the name of your state (Texas)? Hi, I live in McAllen, Tx and I want to start my own local pro wrestling magazine. I will be the only person working on the magazine, editing, writing, photos, and get sponsors. I will only pay a business in Mexico to get them printed. I was told the only thing I need to do is go to my county court and get it registered under my name, which they charge from $15-$20. After I register I can start getting sponsors and just keep track of contracts and invoices, and receipts. Is that all that really needs to be done? Please help, thank you.
