What is the name of your state? CT

My employer has many employees in Connecticut, which does not require an employer-funded State Disability Insurance program. My question is, are there any other insurance programs (for non-work related injuries) that they are required to purchase as an employer in that state?

Also, if they elect to develop their own employer-paid program for supplementing employees with short-term disabilities, can they offer it to one employee group (salaried employees) and not the other (hourly employees)?

Thanks so much for any assistance you can give me.
