1. Pay off the debt. This is the most preferred method.
2. File bankruptcy (if applicable). Won't help if the garnishment is for child support, taxes, fines, and/or student loans.
3. Quit your job. Not a very good option.
4. Die. Depending on the reason for the debt, your estate would be on the hook for the balance of your debt.
