Could you please tell me if it is a State law in Georgia that you have to be present to sign a lease for an apartment? And if you fill out an application is it the same as signing a lease? I had filled out an application for an apartment,(for a relitive)then never signed the lease, but my signature was forged and now they are trying to make me pay money for an apartment that i never signed to rent.

Thank you

My response:

Fraud can never be the basis for a valid contract. Now all you have to do is prove that it wasn't your signature.
