What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa
According to the link below, the U.S. Government has set poverty level incomes.
According to the State of Iowa I must earn, for a family of 4, $20,038 or less to qualify for property tax relief (No Deductions)

The poverty level income for a family of 4 according to the link, is $2000 more than the state of Iowa is allowing.

I have contacted my Legislator without resolution because of the dire straights he says our State budget is in. No one will change anything right now.

I don't believe this is right or legal. What else can I do ?

2009 Federal Poverty Guidelines

I am on SS Diability. I cannot work or I will loose my pension. My Health insurance cost me $865 this month.

Thanks
