What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

If my husband was contacted by a 22-year-old woman who claims he is her father and her mother never pursued child support (legally or in any other manner), is there any way that the daughter or her mother could now somehow legally pursue collecting back child support?

Nope - neither Mom nor adult child now have standing to pursue child support in MA.

Had there been a court order prior to adult child turning 18, it may have been different. But now? Nope. Even if.

*sigh* The only way to collect child support is legally. And child support is not some jackpot just waiting to cash in. "You snooze you lose" ring a bell? (but not "you" you)
