I currently reside in MS, however, I have several outstanding debts from credit cards that I obtained while living in TX. I read on this bulletin board about the statute of limitations, but can anyone give me the actual TX Statute number? The statute of limitations is evidently a well kept secret and I need "proof" for a mortgage company and a financial company who is trying to garnish my wages for a debt that is over 4 years old.
Your help is very much appreciated!

My response:

Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 16.001 et. seq.

This series of Statutes contain all of the S.O.L.'s concerning debts, personal injuries, etc.

Good luck to you.
