What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?pa i rec'd collection notice for college fees incurred 7 yrs ago. as far as i can recall, i paid off everything before i left. i sent a written notice to the collection agency requesting verification of the debt, but i was wondering what the statute of limitations is, if any, on this? i haven't rec'd anything from the college in 7 yrs saying that i owe them anything. any advice would be appreciated.

I am assuming that this was a loan that was taken out. Your post doesn't say. I am also assuming that you went to college in PA. The SOL in PA is 6 years.

I think the SOL in Pa. is 4 years.
