A friend and I were living in the state of Georgia (and since then I have moved to Hawaii). The seller lived in California.

We bid on and won an Ebay auction for a walkon part in a movie on about December 2001. We paid via PayPal. The movie was to be filmed in the summer of 2002. As that date aproached we were notified that due to production problems, the film would be delayed until May 2003.

As we awaited that date, we discovered her business site was taken down and email and phone calls went unanswered.

I have since found her again and asked for a refund, but have been ignored.

My questions are: Has the statue of limitations run out and did that date start when the transaction occured or when the fraud was first detected?

By the way, I have now a list of 3 people whom have paid for these auctions and not received their part in any movie.
