a girl of 14 entered my house while I was sleeping (i am 21) and committed sexual acts upon me now her parents are charging me with statutory rape. No intercourse involve. I awaken and her father arrived and made threats to me , I tried to talk with the parents, I am innocent was asleep did not invite her in. What to do. I have a criminal record but nothing involving stuff like this. Prev. record, death by vechile. I am on probation, I do not want any trouble.****I was up all night drinking with a buddy , I just went to bed maybe an hour before. A neighbor came by and tried to wake me and I don't even remember that. As he was leaving he saw the girl and told her I was asleep. As he was leaving he saw her go in the house.

Wow, this ranks right up there with the classic "the dog ate my homework" defense.

Tell your story to the judge/jury. Try to be believeable. They're the only ones who will be able to get you out of "trouble". However, based on my personal experience, I would suggest you invest heavily in Soap on A Rope.

Can you say "revocation of probation"?

btw- here's a little tid bit for you...your PO or the judgment may file for revocation and hold a hearing to determine if your probation should be revoked. You do not have to be convicted of any crime for them to do this. Different burden of proof. So if the judge finds sufficient cause, you may get revoked even if you are never convicted of statutory rape.

This story is one that is used a lot. I had a trial once whre the defendant used this screamer. I had to drop my pencil a lot so I could duck down behind the bench....
