What is the name of your state? New Jersey

My 15 year old son has recently started seeing a 22 year old woman (unwed with 5 year old son) and I believe this was set up and condoned by his mother. His mother and I are divorced. I am still considered his legal guardian (we share joint custody) and I do not approve of this situation. He has been intimate with this girl, he has "hickey" marks on this neck, but I do not know how far it has gone. She is friends with his mother (my ex) and has slept over at the house when he is there a number of times. Also, he has been drinking and possibly doing drugs with both this mother and the girlfiend. Is this considered statutory rape in New Jersey? What laws, if any, is his mother violating? Should this be reported to the police and what proof would I need to present?

What if I have taped conversations between the girl/son and mother/son confirming the situation?

Did anyone give permission to tape?
New Jersey N.J. Rev. Stat. §2A:156A-4(d) It is lawful to intercept a communication if one is a party to the communication or has received the prior consent of a party to the communication.

That doesn't make much sense. You sure you're quoting that accurately?

The law in most jurisdictions is that as long as one party to a conversation knows it is being taped that is perfectly legal. So I could call you on the phone and tape it without telling you and that would be legal.

Now if a third party tries to tape a convo between two other people, then, absent a warrant, that would be illegal in probably every state in the country.
