YOUR STATE NAME - CALIFORNIA/INDIANA- OK, how do I put 7+ years of hell in a nutshell? I am married to a man who has a ten year old daughter from a previous marriage. We have two sons, one of which is terminally ill, and requires special attention. My husband is awaiting a social security disability hearing for mental illness this summer. He has a severe form of Manic Depression. He cannot work as a result. My step-daughter lives in Indiana with her mother and the new, slimy, violent boyfriend.
Problem 1. We went back to Indiana last year to try to reduce the child support. We have inability to work, 2 subsequent children, one of which requires special attention. With my income, we are below the state poverty level. The modification was denied AND the court neglected to count $1300 in past payments in the new court order transfering jurisdiction from Kansas to Indiana. I am told that cannot be contested, court order is codified and, wrong or right, new law. Additionally, our attorney never brough up the fact that the woman yanked the case from jurisdiction for 7 months, and then the county lost the case for another 6.
Problem 2. My step-daughter is constantly getting injured or sick as a result of neglect on the part of the parenting team. Her latest was getting knocked unconscous by an accidental blow to the back of the head with the back of an axe blade, by the boyfriend's 13 y/o son.
Problem 3. The mother has been committing Social Security Fraud, Tax Fraud, and I believe there is frequent drug use in the house. I have notified and supplied evidence to local and federal agencies. I have seen no result of my efforts to expose her illegal behavior.
This woman is untouchable. I am upset about the money, but we are very frightened about the child's physical well being. I want this woman brought into a court where her negligence as a parent, and her violation of several, serious local and federal laws can be looked at by an unbiased judge. I know that in Indiana, even she could never be proved unfit to parent, but if I could land her in jail for all the other activities, (did I mention evidence of a clandestine meth lab), we would get the child, and know she is safe.
I want the meanest, slimiest, grim, sexist attorney I can find to counter her lying, perjuring sack of tripe, money grubbing shyster. Can anyone recommend such a professional in Fort Wayne, Indiana?
And this is just the tip of the ice berg.

There's a link to a list of attorneys on this page. You could also call the bar association in that state. Good Luck to you!!
