Hello,


I live in Massachusetts. My husband would like to adopt my oldest daugher. He has taken care of her since she was 5 and now she is 16. Her father is not in her life but his name is on the birth certificate.

What do we have to do for her to get adopted by my husband?

You ask the bio father for his consent... if he refuses, then you need an attorney to force the adoption without his consent.
