In Georgia, can you please tell me the first and subsequnet steps of filing for an uncontested divorce with no children or property? I am doing this with out an attorney.

Sure, here's the steps:

1. You get in your car and buy a book on divorce from a bookstore;

2. You read the book;

3. You get all confused;

4. You hire an attorney.

Go online to LAWSMART.COM they have free legal forms that you can download they have a form UNCONSESTED DIVORCE WITH NO MINOR CHILDREN AND NO PROPERTY ,fill the form out, then take it to the court house and file it. Filling files are different from state to state it is probely about 75.00 not for sure . You will then recieve a court date in the mail, go to court and if everything is the same the judge will give you your divorce.
