What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

I'm in the process of suing a Pennsylvania company for breach of contract. I've never been through the process before; it seems to take FOREVER.
My lawyer filed the initial lawsuit, and we've been in the rebuttal stage for almost four months now.
What steps do I have to look forward to before I'm able to drag this scumbag into court? My lawyer said that the process could take 1 1/2 to 2 years total.

Any suggestions on how to get the lawsuit to court faster?

Thanks in advance.

There isn't any way -- courts work on their own timeline, are usually very backed up, and a year or two is not only not unusual, it's FAST in some cases. If you have undisputed facts on your side, maybe your lawyer could dispose of this case on summary judgment, which usually is somewhat faster than getting to trial -- but SJ is not always avaialble. Your lawyer, who is presumably familiar with your local court system, will be the best source of information.
