What is the name of your state? PA

Good evening, in 1996 I was driving my mom's car when I rear ended someone; he wasn't hurt. At the time, the car was registered in my father's name & they only had collision which they got from a neighborhood agent who's no longer in business. My father explained our insurance situation to the guy I hit. We agreed he would go to our local mechanic to get his car fixed. The guy wasn't satisfied with the service & went to his own mechanic, who of course charged more than our mechanic. Basically, the damages were beyond our insurance coverage. Anyway, we went to court in 2001 & I received a judgment against me & was ordered to pay $75/month out of $5,351.29 in damages to the lawyer. Believe it or not, I'm still paying on this, because I missed some payments. My current balance is: $833.79. My father passed in 2002 & as I stated earlier, the car was in his name. The billing statements have come & still come in both our names. I just want to know, am I still liable to make these payments, even though my dad is deceased? Is this the auto owner's liability or does it not matter, because I was the driver? Thanks in advance.

You indicate that in 2001 when you went to court you received a judgement against you. Therefore, you are still liable for the payments.
