What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?I live in illinois. I work as a waitress,two days ago one of my co-workers informed me that a man that comes in to eat was really badmouthing me. He said I should be fired because my daughter dates a black man, and said that is why I got fired from another restaurant. Well the first part is true, mt daughter does date a young black man. SO? actually they are engaged to be married. The second part is very untrue, I WAS NEVER FIRED FROM THE OTHER RESTAURANT AND i can prove it.Mind you I don't even know this guy, he sure knows all about me, very creepy! I can't believe that people still act this way in this day.He came in to eat the next day and she pointed him out,I do not know him. I made no attempt to confront him about it , I don't think ignorance deserves a reply. Is this guy following me or what? I am afraid he may do something to get me fired now since he is so full of hate. What should I do? What would you do?

Well so far the guy has done nothing illegal and nothing which has caused you damages. If you continue to be concerned about what he might do, start by having yourself or a coworker take a phtograph of him surreptitiously. That way if he does end up stalking you or doing anything to get you fired, you at least have a starting point to fugure out who he is.

But I wouldn't confront him or inform your manager because it would be more of a hassle to you and your employment than is deserved for this racist.
