What is the name of your state? California
A while ago I found out somebody had stolen my identity. They got credit cards, apartments, defaulted on real estate loans, personal loans etc. I found out because I started receiving papers from debtor trying to garnish my wages. I began going to court. Too many lawsuits! Debt rounded out to be 45k plus my own. I had to file bankruptcy. I filed a police report, I already had a flag on my number, and social security never notified me, so now how do I remove all of this from my credit. Is there a dispute letter? My bankruptcy has been discharged. It will be a year next month.
