Party A in North Carolina died in 1974 and left land to Son and Daughter. Son died in 1990 and left land to children (4). 5 years ago, daughter (children's aunt) filed as sole hier to land and got new deed registered. Lawyer told 4 children, who just found out, tough, statute of limitations ran out, can't do anything about it. So now the children's aunt (the daughter) has sole ownership and forcing one of the children who remained on the land to pay rent. Children had deed with their 4 names on it. Any ideas or can someone steer me in the right direction, this theiving low life surely can not just steal this land?
