What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa

My wife and I went shopping at Walmart this afternoon. After we finished, I drove my car and stopped it near the front door of the Walwart so that my wife can put the groceries in the trunk. I then noticed that I stopped on the fire lane. Unfortunately, after a few seconds, my car was hit by a dozen of carts pushed by an employee of Walmart.

The whole thing happened in less than a minute. I stayed in my car and the engine is running.

After that, a manager of Walmart came out and let me sign a accident report. She said that their insurance company would call me on Monday. If they say that they cannot cover that, I need to contact my insurance company.

I am afraid that their insurance company will not pay for this accident. Then, what do I need to do?

I can't imagine why they wouldn't cover it since it was their employee's fault.
Agreed...

And to the OP. While this incident wasn't your fault - it's really rude to think that the area in front of the entrance is your personal loading/unloading zone. Do like everyone else and get a cart.

If I were to shop at Wal-Mart and if someone were stupid enough or lazy enough to park (as this person did) in the fire lane, I'd be tempted to ram my cart into their car by accident.

It's just rude and lazy to park in the fire lane.
