I'm going to go with: Read your contract. There may be disclaimers and limitations.

You would also have to prove negligence.

If pest control was done frequently and the vermin still got in, there might not be any liability.

It doesn't matter how much rat poison you put out, storage facilities and vermin go hand in hand. Your contract will show you that the facility cannot be held accountable for any damages caused by mice or what have you. There are things you can do to protect your items, such as wrapping them with heavy plastic and making sure you store no food in your unit but there's no guarantee that the people in the adjacent units are not storing some sort of food in theirs and generally, mice like to eat in one place and nest nearby. You could have no food stored but hey, you do have a comfy sofa that would be perfect to raise a couple hundred litters in. :love:
