What is the name of your state? FL

I have got an awful lot of help from y'all over the months, and I think I'm pretty prepared for this hearing on sanctions against me tomorrow, much as I can be without counsel anyway, but I'm actually really fearful about it.

As a practical matter, how often does a judge really rule for sanctions against a Creditor ex-spouse for support-related activity? I mean, even if I did technically screw up through some ignorant pro se procedural misstep, there's no denying this is support-related. Is this stuff ever decided on the basis of what's fair and right (ex aequea et bono?) or is it pretty much always letter of the law?

I'm getting a lawyer FINALLY, but he won't be on it until next week, and if I can't just get a continuance tomorrow, I may need to brace myself for a real whack upside the head if sanctions are common on this kinda thing.

thanx for any feedback.

I wish I could tell you what's common and what isn't. Since you're pro se, the judge should give you a bit more leeway. Given that what the ex is pissed about is over a support issue, I'd be surprised if a judge actually slaps you with sanctions for trying to get what is legally due you. Hope like hell you can get a continuance. Judges aren't stupid and they're there to weigh the facts and make a decision.

Good Luck !! :)
