Hello, a
Any advice is good advice and I would ask that anyone with a minute and useful knowledge tell me what they think.

- I attended a private military school for three years, was in high standing and had an exceptional record. (in the top of the class).

- A minor infraction of the rules (so minor that they often wavier the punishment) at the end of my junior year.

-I was given a mundane and pointless punishment and when I returned I was told to submit.

-However, I was employed nights and also carrying a heavy academic load, I submitted to the punishment until its was apparent it was affecting my academics, personal health, relationship, and my night employment.

- I requested a lift or partial lift of the punishment (often done).

-After much verbal abuse and nonsense from a paramilitary commander representing the university, I was forced to refuse the punishment.

-I was then suspended from the institute for the remainder of the academic year.

- During the process I was in a firearms store interested in purchasing a firearm for a relatives birthday, I passed the background check but, was denied sale because the institute called the gun store and told the owner I was suspended unstable and dangerous.they toldlocal law enforcement to notify them of any gun purchases by students. since this that law agency has been successfully sued by a gun rights group for their actions ( I was not part of that suit which was filed before this incident.
The gun store called me and told me I was denied sale because of the school and from them I learned I had been suspended ( I was awaiting the final word back from the school at that point). I am a resident of that same state and legally allowed to ownand purchase firearms ( i own firearms and am a avid hunter and fisher in this state)

-I was given 24hours to leave and while packing with my friends there to say goodbye two members of the institutes paramilitary command armed with an assault rifle came to my room and gave me a reminder I had only two more hours to leave. My parents were driving up to get me because I had sold my truck a year ago to help pay for the education I never received.

- After that they have refused to release my transcripts because I owe them 5400 dollars however, I have all my bills and they clearly indicate I had a 0 balance when confronted they responded if I was willingly to sign off that I would not sue they would forget the "bill".

- continuously they have slandered me since I have been gone to my friends that remain and have lied about why I was suspended.

_ legal points I know of- the Buckley admendment 20 U.S.C section 1232g. the releaase of my information to the gun store.
slander, breech of contract. any help in contacting these would be great.

I must also add that during this whole thing I was professional and respectful ( ihave reams of documents of the correspondence.

- The institute still holds that I "withdrew" from the university. I have paperwork from the school given to me when I was suspended that clearly shows I was suspended.

as for damages-
for suspending my entire life is on hold.
for withholding my transcripts my education is on hold and I am unable to get any reasonable employment becuase I cannot prove I attended college.
for slandering me after I spent three years as the one then best cadets in the institute.
The school has a academics first program that draw me there in the first place however, they failed to support that.

I dontxpect a million dollars but, I would just like to move on with my life.
Iam not looking for a million dollars I would just like to get on with my life.

there are more smaller facts (in my favor against the school) but, I think this is enoughto draw a response. The institute has even threatened to submit this false "bill" for collection.

need help. thanks more than words.

You may have been mistreated but a lawsuit will not help you move forward.

Get your parents to give you some advice. I'd also suggest that you speak to a shrink to get some perspective on it, and then move on with your life.

Right now you are looking backwards, not forward, and while I can't blame you, it won't help.

And these people think they're bright enough to teach????

Just moving on may be the best thing. However, if you decide to pursue legal action against them or if they come after you, you'll need a lawyer. This is way too complicated for you to handle alone. Interview a bunch of attorneys and hire the one you like best. You'll have to pay costs but the attorney will probably take the case on a contingency fee basis.

This is not legal advice and you are not my client. Double check everything with your own attorney and your state's laws.
