In North Carolina: I won a small claims case, and the Judgement Debtor still owes me $2,100 plus interest. The Debtor has no real property or assets I can collect on. I understand the state of NC does not allow me to garnish wages in this matter. I was told that there is a legal form I can submit for the Debtor to fill out to answer questions concerning his assets, bank accounts, etc, and possibly go back to court and have him answer these said questions in front of a judge as to why he has not complied with the judgement order. Any advice you can give me will be most appreciated. I am determined to collect this debt!!
Thank you for your time and efforts. Yours Truly, Stuck in NC

Simply, you have two options:
1) Pursue the enforcement of the judgment yourself. If you decide to do this, I would suggest that you go to your local library or bookstore and get a book titled something like "How to Win in Small Claims Court", preferable for your state. The last chapter or so will include how to collect on your judgment. I would also suggest that you do a search on the internet using keywords like: "North Carolina judgment enforcement".

Or

2) You can decide to let a Judgment Enforcement Specialist pursue the debtor. They are able to perform asset investigation on the debtor and familiar with the legal processes required to pursue the enforcement of the judgment. If you decide to use this option, contact me and I might be able to refer you to someone in NC.
