What is the name of your state?
Kentucky

I am a 16 year old junior at a Public High School, in Beattyville, KY. My school states in their handbook, that parents/ legal guardians are the only people able to add/remove, a contact from the given student's "pick up list" (just as it says it is just permission for someone to pick me up).

My parents on their own account, added my 18 year old boyfriend to the list. They have signed him on to my list and he has never withdrawn me from school, but his purpose is if I have an appointment on a day he is back from college, that he can take me.

His mother, for the entire time we have dated, has hated me, she blocked my number and I didn't even called her house.(His parents are divorced and have been for 6 years.) His father is the Vocational School Principal , which has VERY LITTLE to do with the High School, it is ran and funded through the State and gets none of our funding.(I personally am not enrolled in any vocational classes, so very little if any of my personal information should be there).

Somehow, she has called the school talked to her ex-husband, had him call over to the High School, and get my personal information to relay back to her. She is not my legal guardian, nor is she that of my boyfriend anymore, he lives on his own and is 18.

Part of my question is, "Isn't it against a student-teacher confidentiallity agreement to give information to anyone other than a school official or a parent/legal guardian?".

Now the other part pertains to what she did behind my families back.

I do not know how, but she has had her son REMOVED from MY "pick up" list. My family was NOT contacted, nor questioned if they wanted it done. I was never told. My boyfriend came in to visit his father and pick me up AFTER school to take me to the chiropractor (we were too late when we got to the place). He was informed by the HIGH SCHOOL assistant principal that he was removed from my list of pick ups. ANd his father said, "I didn't ACTUALLY do it".

Is this possible? And can I take action against my information being released to a person that is not a legal guardian?

This woman has gotten other information, from the assistant principal and her ex-husband on my records, I have been told. Isn't this illegal??

How do you know this to be true?

My boyfriend was informed by our High School Assistant Principal that he was removed.

And his mother owned up to it. That she got him taken off the list.

nothing illegal about having her son not be allowed to pick you up from school. did your parents ask her if it was okay to list her son on the pick-up list?
