I have TWO questions.

FIRST,
i attended a community college in orange county for two years, illegaly. i then left the US. i transferred a year's worth of college credits and graduated outside the US. Now i want to take Nursing as a second degree program somewhere in the US. Most of the prerequisites for nursing are the classes that i took in the california college. One of the university in colorado told me that i have to show them my previous I-20 when i went to school in california. (from what i read on other universities websites they also asked for old i20 i think if i'm not mistaken) Of course i don't have one.

i left the US back in 2000, (and still currently out of US, never went back at all) i plan to go back in 2008... by that time i've been out for 8 years but i know it's still not enough fo the 10 years being barr from reentry to the US. I DO plan to go back with a STUDENT VISA. but the fact that the university is asking for the old I20 that i don't have, i don't know what to do.

SECOND,
Continuing with the story above... i was illegal for a lot of years.. and left the US in 2000 and never went back. I tried getting Visitor's Visa back in may 2005, and got the B1/B2 visa for 5 years. I understand that being barred for reentry is for TEN YEARS... I plan to visit california in April 2006, just because i got the visa, does it mean that LAX Immigration will allow me to enter ... or will they really have the records there that i'm still barr from reentry? or will they NOT have the records thare at LAX...

Can you pleeaaasee help/advice me? thank you

Absolutely not. They are there at the border to catch mistakes like you.
Stay away for 10 years; you broke many rules.

Just because you were here illegally and then left does not mean that the 10 year bar exists for you. This has to be applied through the deportation process.

All schools ask for prior I-20s because they want to follow your SEVIS file. Just be honest and tell them you were illegal before and had no prior I-20. Most schools will not care. Many universities have policies to allow illegals to be admitted.
