My impression was that FarmerJ was talking about the lead up to court, not the actual court hearing itself.A power of attorney does not allow one who is not an attorney to represent another in court.

He actually mentioned that it would be used if he (the owner) can't go to court. My impression was that FarmerJ was talking about the lead up to court, not the actual court hearing itself.
How about having him make you a co-owner of the property? You got me there! I pretty much run things because he’s gone all the time and it’s been a very big eye opener because I pretty much can’t be involved in any legal way, yet this is very much affecting my life!!
Yes yes yes yes!!! Thank you!! I’m sure it was right in front of my nose (or maybe because I was searching in my county) but I couldn’t find the forms for the life of me! I called the courthouse (Galena, MO) and they said they didn’t have ANY forms I could have. That I would have to find them on my own.Tenants will walk all over you if you let them.
Read the eviction statute:
https://law.justia.com/codes/missouri/2018/title-xxxvi/chapter-534/
If they are still there on May 1 serve them the 10 day demand for possession (over your husband's signature) by certified mail (no texting) and by regular mail and hand deliver a copy to them with a witness present who can later testify in court regarding delivery if necessary.
I suggest you attach a copy of your proposed eviction complaint and make it clear that you will file it with the court if they aren't out by the end of ten days.
You can re-create this form with your local court information or get one from your local court before the end of the month.

I found one for the 10 day Notice to Vacate, but the statute doesn't seem right to me. I was just getting ready to reread the link that you posted. I'll check Jackson County's eviction guide and use their forms. I'll just have to change it to Stone County.I wouldn't expect a court in a small town to have much by way of self help. You generally have to look to larger counties for online help and forms.
Jackson County has an eviction guide and some other forms that you'll need.
