Calif: I was an innocent bystander to an incident that occurred in my front yard. A neighbor that that I did not know and lives a block away was high on drugs, naked and out of control. He ended up being arrested in my front yard. As he was being restrained by the police he hit an officer and made a threat against me, both of which he was charged for.

I've learned he has since been charged with rape in a separate incident. He is in jail and his trail is coming up. I have been supoenead as a witness for the incident that took place in my yard.

Anything I should know about being a witness in this matter? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Only advice I could give is get in a real quiet room with a piece of paper and pencil. Close your eyes and try to relive the unfortunate incident again, do this a few times, and each time write down everything you can remember. So when you do go to court and tell your story, you won't hesitate when being cross examined by the defense attorney. They try to make you feel like you don't know what your talking about, but if you go over what happened a few times and prepare for just telling the truth of what you saw, you'll do just fine. And help put the scum away. One important thing--think before responding and breath.
