What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

I am a Colorado homeowner who has just received word that my insurance company is seeking subrogation for a fire which occurred two years ago after using my gasoline powered line trimmer when it was hot and dry. I believe the cause of the prairie fire which damaged numerous homes at a cost of $1.4 million dollars was that of the line-trimmer. What type of action can be brought against me if I am unable to prove the liner trimmer was the cause? And, how would they find me at fault?
