What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida.
Can a collections lawyer sue for insurance money from Florida if I am from Ny. The amount she is trying to get is not the amount I should owe. I have already paid more than 60000 to the treatment center and they are seeking 23000 more which there were not covered in whole by the insurance company. I owe around 8000. I've asked for a detailed billing summary and all forms that I have signed and have not yet to get them. I offered to pay monthly until paid but it is not the amount that they want. They also want my tax returns which I refused to agree upon. Can they still bring suit against me even if I continue to pay my what I can afford each month even though it is not the amount or the terms they want me to agree upon. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, they can still sue you if you're paying less than what they're asking.
